Lady Vols Punch Ticket to Next Round After 5–1 Win

The John A. Logan College Lady Vols defeated Lincoln Trail College 5–1 Friday, May 9, in the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament.

Tied 1–1 after four innings, Logan broke the game open with a four-run sixth, capped by a bases-clearing triple from Larkin Korte. Anna Rolla and Lauren Lenihan each added an RBI.

Sami Scholtz earned the win, improving to 22–2 with a complete game. She struck out eight, allowed just three hits and no earned runs.

The Lady Vols tallied nine hits in the win. Trista Moore reached base three times and scored once.
