The John A. Logan College softball team swept Kaskaskia College in the opening round of the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament on Sunday, winning both games of a doubleheader.

Game 1: John A. Logan 3, Kaskaskia 0

Game 2: John A. Logan 4, Kaskaskia 2

The victories extended the Lady Vols’ winning streak to 13 games and improved their overall record to 50-8. The team advances to the next round of the Region 24 tournament.

Kaskaskia ended its season with a 31-25 record.
