MARION — Centerstone hosted its third annual Life;Story 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention at Ray Fosse Park on September 6 at 7 a.m.
The event’s name, Life;Story, features a semicolon to symbolize continuation — that there is always more to come. “There is more to your Life; there is more to your Story,” organizers said.
The first female runner to cross the finish line was Erin Szynkowski, a Centerstone counselor. “I’m here to meet people where they are, and I think that speaks to Centerstone’s philosophy as a whole,” Szynkowski said. “We strive to meet people where they are.”
