The JALC men’s basketball team defeated Southwestern Illinois College, 84-76, on Monday, Feb. 24, extending its winning streak to four games. With the victory, the team improves to 17-9 overall and 11-2 in conference play, strengthening its position as one of the top contenders in the region. The Volunteers displayed balanced scoring and strong defensive efforts, maintaining momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season. JALC will look to keep the streak alive in its next matchup against Rend Lake College at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.
