During the first home game of the season against Kaskaskia College on September 4, Lady Vols sophomore volleyball player Gabbi Burkard suffered an injury that ended her season. Even so, she’s remained a lively, motivating presence on the bench. This Mic’d Up segment captures Gabbi joking with teammates and offering encouragement, a reminder that leadership isn’t limited to the court. The Lady Vols travel to Frontier Community College in Fairfield on Wednesday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. CDT. They enter the match with an overall record of 20-10 (.667) and are 16-1 (.941) in conference play, 1-1 (.500) in division, and 14-3 (.824) in region competition.
